CANCELED! “The Flash” Actor FIRED After Six-Year-Old Tweets Resurface

(AmericanPoliticalDaily.com)- Cancel culture has claimed its latest victim, and it’s as surprising as all the other ones. Hartley Sawyer, the actor known for his role in comic book series “The Flash,” has been fired from his position after social justice warriors got upset about remarks he made on Twitter six years ago.

Sawyer has played the role of Ralph Dibny for more than three seasons now. He has a large fanbase of comic book superhero enthusiasts and avid watchers of the TV series and movies he has starred in, but that wasn’t enough to stop his bosses at The CW pulling the plug.

The tweets SJWs were concerned about were all jokes related to sexual assault, racism, and homophobia. Following the outcry, and after SJWs purposely went searching to find comments they could be offended by, Sawyer deleted his entire Twitter account.

Screenshots of the tweets remain, however, and have been widely circulated online. The sensitivity around issues like this has grown since the tragic death of George Floyd, who died at the hands of a police officer who kneeled on his neck for eight minutes.

A statement from The CW and Warner Bros announced his firing.

“Hartley Sawyer will not be returning for season seven of ‘The Flash,’” it reads. “In regards to Mr. Sawyer’s posts on social media, we do not tolerate derogatory remarks that target any race, ethnicity, national origin, gender, or sexual orientation. Such remarks are antithetical to our values and policies, which strive and evolve to promote a safe, inclusive and productive environment for our workforce.”

The question is…has Sawyer ever been racist or homophobic to any of his colleagues or bosses? And if not, then why does an off-color Twitter joke mean that he is reprehensible and deserves to be fired?

Businesses all over the world, not just the United States, have taken extra steps lately to ensure that customers know they are willing to capitulate to Black Lives Matter. Any company that doesn’t has been called out by gangs of SJWs online. It became so intense that famous British tea brand, Yorkshire Tea, caused a stir when it made a giant deal about supporting Black Lives Matter and told critics of the far-left movement not to buy their tea.

Eric Wallace, the executive producer of The Flash, also took it upon himself to address the firing and ward off any backlash coming his way.

So brave…
