Lincoln Project Co-Found Resigns

( Jennifer Horn, one of the co-founders of the anti-Trump “conservative” organization the Lincoln Project has formally resigned from the group after it was revealed how her fellow co-founder, John Weaver, sexually harassed and groomed young men.

The New York Times revealed Jennifer Horn’s decision on Friday.

Horn said that she had diverging views with the organization, which has been accused by conservative reporter Ryan Girdusky of knowing about Weaver’s actions and ignoring them for months. Girdusky originally published the story after speaking to young men who had been sexually propositioned by Weaver.

Horn described her colleague’s behavior as “grotesque and inappropriate” in a statement that was shared with the New York Times.

“Upon careful consideration, I have terminated my relationship with the Lincoln Project, effective immediately,” she said.

“John Weaver’s grotesque and inappropriate behavior, coupled with his longstanding deceptions concerning that behavior, are sickening. It is clear at this point that my views about how the Lincoln Project’s efforts are managed, and the best way to move the Lincoln Project forward into the future in the wake of these awful events, have diverged.”

The Lincoln Project took the news badly, issuing their own statement in which they claimed that Weaver’s actions were being used as part of an “attack” against the group and that Horn was actually leaving because of financial disagreements.

Only the Lincoln Project could claim that legitimate concerns about one of their co-founders grooming young men online constitutes an attack from Trump and his “propaganda allies.”

Girdusky took another statement from the Lincoln Project on January 31, in which they claimed that they didn’t know about Weaver’s actions, and explained how the organization is lying.

“This statement by the [Lincoln Project] is an absolute lie,” he said.

“Members did know. Young men approached them about the accusations. Members knew I was writing the story and warned John Weaver,” he added.
