President Trump Moves Pharmaceutical Manufacturing OUT of China, Back to America

VIDEO — Trump Fights Back in Fiery CPAC Speech

(AmericanPoliticalDaily.com)- President Donald Trump was talking about bringing back key manufacturing to the United States from China before the coronavirus pandemic, and now he’s taking some of the most decisive action yet to do what he promised the American people. The president is taking unprecedented action in his decision to move the manufacturing of pharmaceutical supplies back to the United State from China.

Manufacturing of key medical supplies will also be moved out of India, creating new employment opportunities in the United States and ensuring these supplies are readily available in the event of another future pandemic.

According to NBC News, President Trump is “seeking to secure the nation’s supply of critical medications” and has signed a “$354 million contract that would create the nation’s first strategic stockpile of key ingredients needed to make medicines.”

This is a move the Democrats will have a hard time opposing.

According to NBC, President Trump signed a new agreement with generic drug manufacturer Phlow Corp in Virginia on Monday. It would ramp up production of critical supplies and could mean a huge new wave of employment opportunities at a time when Americans are desperately looking for new work opportunities.

Peter Navarro, the White House Trade Adviser, told the media that it will “not only help bring our essential medicines home but actually do so in a way that is cost competitive with the sweatshops and pollution havens of the world.”

Navarro has been one of the most staunch anti-China people in the Trump cabinet and has worked with the president extensively to secure the deal. He also told the press that the agreement is an “historic turning point in America’s efforts to onshore its pharmaceutical production and supply chains.”

The new could be extended to ten years, totaling $812 billion. It would become one of the largest awards, according to the New York Times, in the Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority’s history.

Not only is the move geared towards President Trump’s America First agenda, but Phlow Corps even promotes itself as an America First company on its website.

“The United States’ drug supply chain is broken, becoming dangerously dependent upon Foreign Suppliers for our most essential generic medicines,” the site explains. “Phlow was formed to manufacture low-cost, high quality, essential generic drugs for the United States.”

It makes you wonder what the Democrats were thinking, and what the Obama administration was doing, in the wake of the Ebola and Swine Flu pandemics. Didn’t they think this might be a good move?
