Women for Trump! – Women’s Global Empowerment Initiative Celebrates First Year

(AmericanPoliticalDaily.com) – While Democrats continue the baseless smears about President Donald Trump and his administration failing to represent women, Ivanka Trump and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo celebrated the first birthday of the Women’s Global Development and Prosperity Initiative.

The program, which was launched in 2019, was designed to empower women all over the world to lead economic growth and cultural transformation through their involvement in business and other initiatives.

In a special event hosted by the State Department, Ivanka Trump celebrated the progress made so far by the scheme. Joined by Mike Pompeo, the event also launched the program’s first annual report and listed achievements and goals for the next year.

The speeches made were livestreamed via social media, and detailed how the program has closed skill and education gaps for women to increase women’s participation in the labor force on a global basis.

Speaking to CNBC on Wednesday, Ivanka Trump explained how “Women are thriving like never before” under the Trump administration. Specifically, Trump said that unemployment rates for women in the United States were at the lowest point in 75 years, down to just 3.4%.

Trump also referenced that more women in the United States are now in work than men, for just the second time in the country’s history.

How isn’t Elizabeth Warren, far-left mouthpiece and Democratic presidential candidate, talking about this? Why isn’t Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez celebrating this great achievement for women?

Ivanka, daughter and advisor to President Trump, explained how her father’s administration had achieved these successes. She put it down to “the fact that we’ve backed policies that not only create the growth but enable that type of economic opportunity.”

Trump also explained how the current administration had recognized the “complexity of being a woman by supporting high-quality child care for parents who are working and can’t afford it.” It was a move that some traditional Republican candidates might not initially have supported, but one that has been popular across both sides of the political debate and appealed to a wide set of voters.

“That is an undeniable work-related expense,” Ivanka explained.

The president’s commitment to helping women also extends to paid leave. In December 2019, President Trump signed a bill into law that gave more than 2 million federal workers three months of paid leave.
